By downloading and installing Microsoft Word, you can remove hyperlinks, underlining, and other formatting from your document. A few clicks underline or Ctrl U may also remove an underline. You simply right-click on a link in your document and select Remove Hyperlink if you want to remove the entire link from the document. If the entire document is highlighted, press Ctrl A to select all of it. To assist you in completing this task, we have provided you with additional guidance below. If you previously used underlining but changed your mind, you may be able to clear that underline from a Word document selection.
When you begin typing unformatted text into the body of a document in Microsoft Word, this is when you begin to write it.
Select the underlined text in the selected space and press Ctrl U to remove it from the words and spaces.
